Who We Are
In 1978, Seoul YMCA 'Consumer rights movement' started under the name of "Seoul YMCA Citizens Mediation Center".
Main purpose of the center was to help Koreans with their consumer and legal rights.
In the 1990s we launched 'Seoul YMCA Mediation Center for Migrant Workers.' We helped the bulk of foreign labor forces that started coming to Korea at that time.

Listen to you and help you with residential problems
1) Rental properties, dealing with owners, lease contracts
2) applying for Internet, phone service
3) job, employer, contract issues
4) medical services (insurance)
5) banking services (credit card, etc)
6) school, dormitory related issues
7) purchasing goods
8) any kinds of accidents

Recently, we have made consumerism and protected citizens' right through many programs; about 300 legal aids; discussions and educations concerning consumer's problem. Throughout these programs, we have learned that citizens' aggressive(active) participation can(may) make the society fairer, safer and wealthier. On the bases of above experiences, we are trying to solve the problems of new social environments. We want to join you.
